Let me tell you, this is THE MOST USEFUL kit we've got! There is NO better harware to mount a bonnet - period!" This package contains the necessary bolts, washers, and lock washers to install your bonnet hinges to the bonnet of your E-Type! - when shells are restored here in our shop, we assemble the bonnet hinges with these bolts - you CANNOT FIND BETTER bolts for this purpose! These are black anodized bolts, which are correct for early E-Types - later cars have gold anodized bolts, but they are otherwise the same, and we use these on all cars. These are GRADE 8, with 6 lines on the bolt heads (you always add 2 to determine the grade...), NOT Grade 5 like the other kits out there - they are SUPER STRONG!

There are two features of this kit that will make a HUGE difference when you attache your hinges - 1) The bolts are long, and FULLY THREADED - this is very important when you start removing and/or stacking up shims! 2) The washers are a tight fit on the bolts and are THICK - meaning that they will not "cave" into the oversize holes in the aluminum bonnet hinge.

This package includes ALL 28 PIECES shown in photo #1 - 8 bolts, 8 SUPER THICK washers, and 8 lock washers for mounting the aluminum hinges to the bonnet - PLUS 2 bolts and 2 lock washers for the main pivot mounting the aluminum hinges to the bonnet carrier bracket of the frame rails. Photo # 2 shows the 8 bolts assembled, to show you how thick the flat washers are... All bolts and nuts are the correct original specification fine thread.
