E-Type Tail Conversion Kit - Series 2 & 3 to Series 1 - FHC Coupe & 2+2

This is our popular conversion kit that allows you to convert your Series 2 or 3 E-Type coupe (FHC) or 2+2 to FACTORY SERIES 1 SPECS - which will then accept all stock factory Series 1 components, including the rear bumpers and overriders, tail lamps, license lamps, etc.

This kit includes EVERYTHING you ned to convert your later Series E-Type to factory Series 1 specs (except  the reverse lamp "blister" in the boot floor - see below for more info on that...)

Reverse Lamp Blister - on Series 1 cars, the center boot floor stiffening rib is cut short in the back, and there is a small hump spot-welded into the boot floor to give clearance for the reverse lamp.  I don't include this in the kit, because many people who do this conversion choose to just delete the reverse lamp.  I had a '63 roadster as a kid, and I never had one - I think it looks like a bulky afterthought hanging down there...  BUT - if you do want to install the Series 1 reverse lamp, you can cut a clearance hole below the rib, and just run the wire through, OR - you can go all the way and cut the central stiffening rib short and install the blister, and we can make a blister for you at additional cost.
