Bonnet Lower Valance Support Member - 4.2 style WITHOUT horn brackets.  Fits all 4.2-liter Series 1, 1.5, and 2 E-Types.

This piece is an EXACT reproduction of the original, and can be used to salvage your lower valance without the $3,000.00++ cost of a poor quality reproduction. Made from 19-gauge steel, we have sold and installed HUNDREDS of these supports - they are DEAD ON!

MUST READ - The reproductions of the complete lower valance vary widely in quality - some are better than others, but none are perfect.  There are three different manufacturers for the lower valance, and one of them is horrid - it is scrap metal.  NOTHING is better than restoring your original with this piece - one very important consideration is that your mouth shape will be perfect, vs. some mis-shapen mouth that is beigger on the bottom than the top, which shows up badly once you put the motif bar in.  This is especially a problem on Series 2 cars, where the mouth of the reproduction swoops down over 3/4" more than the original, and looks really off when the car is finished...

ALSO - aside from the shape issues, the reproduction lower valances often have the rear wall (this piece) spot-welded in at the wrong location.  I had one in here that was 1/2" off front-to-back.  This ends the possibility of fitting the bonnet bnefore it even starts!  Our piece is very easily installed in the exact location as your original - there is just no other sensible way to do it.

Delivered in fresh, bare steel coated in a light oil for rust-prevention, simply wipe down with solvent before priming.
