Rear Bumper Mounting Studs - Series 1 - Set of 4

This is a set of 4 studs for mounting the Rear bumpers on Series 1 and 1.5 4.2-liter E-Types.

NOTE - These are the style used for the bumpers that have a cut-out in the bottom so that a nut can be threaded onto the stuf by reaching under the bumper.  I call these the 4.2-liter style, but they really come into play in about 1966...  These are NOT for the earlier 3.8 and early 4.2 cars with an enclosed bottom portion of the bumper where the bolts go from inside the body out and thread into the bumper...

These are identical to the originals - YES - the originals were just a bolt welded to a small plate of sheet metal.  To attach these, hold them into place from inside the body shell, and drill through the existing 1/8" rivet holes to make holes into these plates, then use 1/8" pop rivets - that is EXACTLY how the factory did it.

They are patterned after originals, and are correct in every dimension, including the size and thread count of the bolts. These are formed from 16-gauge steel.

Delivered in fresh, bare steel coated in a light oil for rust-prevention, simply wipe down with solvent before priming.
