Mudshield - BD27425 - 4.2 - LH

LH Mudshield for 4.2 litre E-Types - also required if the 4.2-style brake booster is being used on a 3.8 E-Type.  This mudshield is just slightly different than its 3.8 counterpart, with an extra bend to clear the forward end of the brake booster.

This mudshield is patterned after an original mudshield. It is correct in every dimension - including the fact that it is made in two pieces and spot-welded together, the 20-gauge thickness, the location and angles of the bends, and the size, shape, and placement of the holes. It includes an extra-long piece of the proper width, heavier gauge steel to be used for the "rubber fixing strip", which is long enough to cover the entire rubber strip - from the outer edge of the sill, up the sill closing panel, and the entire mudshield. Other manufacturers charge extra for this strip - and it comes in 2 pieces.

Delivered in fresh, bare steel coated in a light oil for rust-prevention, simply wipe down with solvent before priming.
